MKT 198 - Sports Marketing 3.0 Credit(s) Lecture 3 Lab/Clinical 0 Sports Marketing surveys the basic marketing concepts and theories as they apply to sports and sporting events. Students explore the dynamic environment of the sporting industry and apply the elements of the marketing mix to this ever-changing environment. Using a contingency framework to guide the strategic sports marketing process, the course takes a strategic business perspective and a look behind-the-scenes of research, consumer behavior, sponsorship, licensing, event marketing, and implementation of sports marketing plans. Prerequisite(s): MKT 110 - Principles of Marketing .
