Mobile Device Repair

This intensive, week-long bootcamp prepares students for entry-level careers in mobile device repair. The course covers diagnostics, hardware replacement, safety, customer service, and shop operations. Students receive a full toolkit and hands-on training to prepare for the WISE Level I and II Certification Exams, recognized nationwide in the mobile device repair industry. Exams are administered during class.

Students will be able to: • Diagnose and repair common hardware/software issues in mobile devices • Safely disassemble and reassemble smartphones and tablets • Use industry-standard repair tools and techniques • Demonstrate customer service and repair shop communication skills • Qualify to sit for and pass WISE Level I and II certification exams Educational Objective:
Vocational Tuition:
$2,450 Included Costs: • Instruction (40 hours @ $120/hour, delivered in group setting) • Mobile device repair toolkit (drivers, tweezers, gloves, protective glasses, etc.) - $500 value • WISE Level I Certification exam - $200 value • WISE Level II Certification exam - $400 value Length of Course:
40 contact hours & face-to-face Course Outline:
• Day 1: Introduction to Mobile Devices, Safety & Tools - 8 hours • Day 2: Diagnostics, Disassembly, and Repairs - 8 hours • Day 3: Component Replacement (Screens, Batteries, Ports) - 8 hours • Day 4: Advanced Repair, Troubleshooting, Software Resets - 8 hours • Day 5: Shop Operations, Customer Service, Certification Review & Exams - 8 hours Admission Requirements:
• Must be 16 years or older • Basic computer literacy • Manual dexterity and comfort with small parts/tools Attendance Requirements:
• Full attendance (100%) required • Missed time must be made up with instructor approval before completion • Unexcused absences or safety violations may result in dismissal Instructor Qualification:
Instructor is registered, certified, or licensed in the occupational area in which the state requires registration, certification or licensure for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching. |
