Your pharmacy technician training will prepare you to work under the guidance of a pharmacist. You’ll be a crucial member of the team and a critical part of keeping the pharmacy running smoothly.

Learning Outcomes:
Student who successfully complete our 196-hour course, will be qualified to take their PTCB National Certification Exam. National Certification will allow individuals to work in a variety of pharmacy settings. Educational Objective:

Tuition: $1689.00 Fees: Instructor fee, textbook/workbook, handout, Iowa Pharmacy Mandated Trainee Application/Fee, lab supplies, PTCB Certification Exam fee. Length of Course:
196 hours total Course Outline:
Tues/Thurs 9am-3pm for class- 120 hours Clinical- dates/times determined by hosting pharmacy, retail- 60 hours Clinical- dates/times determined by hosting hospital, acute -16 hours Admissions Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, vaccination/immunization documentation, background check performed by Iowa Pharmacy Board via Trainee Application Attendance Requirements:
One class session of 5.5 hours is the maximum allowed absence. Additional time missed would be grounds for dismissal. Instructor Qualification:
Instructor is registered, certified, or licensed in the occupational area in which the state requires registration, certification or licensure for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching. |
