Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Ground School (Part of the Professional Aeronautics Certification - PAC)

The third semester of the PAC program prepares students to earn their FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL), enabling them to fly for compensation or hire. Students learn advanced aerodynamics, complex maneuvers, flight planning, and FAA commercial regulations. This course provides the knowledge required for professional-level piloting in preparation for the FAA written exam and commercial flight training.

Admissions Requirements:


  • FAA Instrument Rating (IFR)
  • FAA Medical Certificate (Class 2 or higher)
  • English proficiency

Attendance Requirements:


  • 85% minimum attendance required
  • More than two unexcused absences = removal from course
  • Excused absences with instructor approval
  • Incomplete work must be resolved within one week

Instructor Qualification:


Instructor is registered, certified, or licensed in the occupational area in which the state requires registration, certification or licensure for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching.
