The fourth and final semester of the PAC program is designed for students to become FAA Certified Flight Instructors (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII). Graduates will earn their instructor ratings, gain teaching experience, and be eligible for preferential hiring as instructor pilots with the PAC program. This course emphasizes leadership, instructional methodology, and applied teaching techniques for both ground and flight training.

Course Outline:
- Fundamentals of Instruction - 10 hours
- CFI Ground Instruction Methods - 15 hours
- CFII Instrument Instruction Methods - 15 hours
- FAA Instructor Regulations & Responsibilities - 10 hours
- Supervised Teaching & Lesson Planning - 10 hours
Admissions Requirements:
- FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- FAA Medical Certificate (Class 2 or higher)
- English proficiency
Attendance Requirements:
- 90% minimum attendance required
- Excused absences with instructor approval
- Tardiness >15 minutes recorded as half absence
- Incomplete work due within one week
Instructor Qualification:
Instructor is registered, certified, or licensed in the occupational area in which the state requires registration, certification or licensure for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching. |
