Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On (Optional, Post-PAC Program)

The optional Multi-Engine Add-On course allows PAC graduates to earn their FAA Multi-Engine rating and either their Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate or up to 25 hours of multi-engine flight time. This training is recommended for pilots pursuing airline or corporate careers, where multi-engine ratings are commonly required.

  • Operate multi-engine aircraft safely and efficiently.
  • Understand multi-engine aerodynamics and engine-out procedures.
  • Apply FAA regulations and procedures to multi-engine flights.
  • Demonstrate advanced navigation and flight planning for multi-engine aircraft.

  • Multi-Engine Aircraft Systems & Performance - 5 hours
  • Multi-Engine Aerodynamics - 5 hours
  • Engine-Out Procedures & Emergency Training - 10 hours
  • FAA Multi-Engine Flight Operations - 10+ hours

Admissions Requirements:


  • FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
  • FAA Medical Certificate (Class 2 or higher)
  • Completion of PAC program recommended

Attendance Requirements:


  • Full participation in scheduled lessons required
  • No more than one unexcused absence permitted
  • All incomplete work must be resolved prior to exam sign-off

Instructor Qualification:


Instructor is registered, certified, or licensed in the occupational area in which the state requires registration, certification or licensure for the occupational area in which the instructor is teaching.
