Surgical Technology, A.A.S.

Surgical Technology program of study is designed to prepare students to become skilled operating room technicians. The program prepares students to practice under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse and to function as a member of the surgical team. Sterile techniques, operative procedures, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology, as applied to surgery, are studied. Graduates of this program are awarded an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.
